Lost his memory

Bill was walking down the street when he saw the most beautiful dog he had ever seen. It was in the yard of an elderly couple who happened to be sitting on the front porch so he stopped to chat.
As he inquired about the dog he asked the gentleman what the dogs name was. AS he thought and thought he finally said, "What's that flower , the one with the thorns?" "O you mean a rose?" Bill answered. Yes that's it,Rose. Rose, what's the dog's name? ;f
