To the far right of the serial number on the barrel there are three small letters.....what are they? It appears to be from the spring of 1989, but those letters will tell us when it was made.

Neat.....which model is your's?
The serial number project shows that more than one model has the prefix 'ENN'.

I also have a G19 that is EL XXX on the barrel, the small letters following the proof mark are NTD. The frame is marked with a US suffix. Would that be from around April of '89?

NTD shows it was made in March of 89, April would probably be the import date.....the OP's gun would almost certainly have the same date code.

Hi Butch, thanks for the info!
I remember trading for it in the spring of '89, but I didn't remember the month - its been too long. It took on backup duties when I was in uniform and I retired my well traveled ASP. Back then the BAT rounds were avaliable and it was interesting to chronograph them from the ASP with its short MagNaPorted barrel and then from the 19

My first gun, a G19, was issued to me in August of 1989, it was serial EM636US. Great gun, wish I could track it down.
